Molars Only Alumni Course

With L. Stephen Buchanan, DDS, FICD, FACD

Our only hands-on course designed exclusively for alumni. For practicing clinicians who have already attended one of our hands-on programs, and are prepared to deepen their understanding and treatment of complex molar anatomy. This course not only tackles the challenges of treating molars, but also addresses the questions that come up back in practice. The highly interactive format allows for discussion of topics in diagnosis, pain management, restoration, avoiding instrument separation, finding MB canals, and other issues that clinicians face when practicing endo.

In addition to refining techniques with extracted teeth, we also take a look at problem-solving strategies for handling unforeseen mishaps, such as perforation repair, and removal of separated instruments.

"This course is designed to expand your understanding and treatment of endodontic complexities, so that you can address common issues with more confidence and skill." - Steve Buchanan

At the conclusion of this hands-on course, participants should understand:

  • Techniques for treating molar root canal anatomy, including finding MB canals, and managing apical curvature
  • Access refinement that maximizes convenience form and prevents file separation
  • Solutions for addressing common RCT challenges and failures
  • Simple, effective techniques for gutta percha and carrier removal
  • How to repair perforations and treat immature apices using MTA
  • Techniques for removing instruments separated at the orifice
